The Olympus BF-UC180F is an ultrasound bronchoscope designed for use in interventional pulmonology and thoracic surgery. It integrates a flexible bronchoscope with a linear array ultrasound transducer, enabling real-time imaging of the airway walls, surrounding lymph nodes, and adjacent structures. This capability is crucial for performing Endobronchial Ultrasound-guided Transbronchial Needle Aspiration (EBUS-TBNA), a minimally invasive procedure for diagnosing and staging lung cancer, as well as identifying other mediastinal diseases.

Combining high-quality endoscopic imaging with precise ultrasound guidance, the BF-UC180F allows clinicians to visualize and accurately sample target lesions. Its design facilitates navigation through the tracheobronchial tree to access key anatomical locations for biopsy.
