The Welch Allyn FX-100 is a flexible sigmoidoscope system designed for diagnostic examinations of the left colon. This complete system includes the FX-100 flexible sigmoidoscope, an LX-150 endoscopic halogen light source, and a Schuco-Vac 130 aspirator.
The FX-100 sigmoidoscope features a 65 cm working length suitable for full left colon examinations. Its design aims to provide loop-free insertion to help minimize patient discomfort. The instrument offers a wide deflection range of 180 degrees up/down and 160 degrees left/right to navigate the rectosigmoid junction, and a 100-degree field of view.
The included Welch Allyn LX-150 is a halogen cold light illuminator, providing a reliable light source for endoscopic procedures. The Schuco-Vac 130 aspirator provides controlled vacuum regulation and includes filters to help protect the pump from contaminants.
